All steel supplied by the Best Bar group comes with the peace of mind that it will comply to the very highest Australian standards. This is proven through our strong commitment to quality. Our intention is to maintain the highest level of quality and reliability by managing our business in conformance with the quality management system AS/NZS ISO 9002-2000.

This level of quality is certified by a compliant third party auditing system called ACRS (The Australian Certification Authority for Reinforcing Steel). ACRS administer an industry based, third-party product certification scheme for steel reinforcement and prestressing strand. This ensures suppliers comply with all relevant Australian standards and assures customers of the quality of steel regardless of origin. Our supplier of product Natsteel are ACRS accredited as are our Victorian and West Australian operations.

Best Bar has proven to the market that we are 100% committed to supplying quality products from start to finish. We were the first external mill and one of the first independent rebar fabricators, to comply with ACRS. The NatSteel mill has run many third party auditing systems in the past and is proud of its reputation as being the first external mill to be certified when implementing the ACRS system. NatSteel also exports steel throughout Asia via its many subsidiary companies so compliance to standards is paramount. Our mill has been producing reinforcement for 50 years.

Best Bars fabrication operations have adopted a very strict quality policy and culture over the years. This is because, as an importer, we are always under the microscope. Our bar is possibly the most rigorously tested bar in the world, with internal independent tests through to customer requested tests and mill testing. Add to that, internal testing on coil material after it has been processed and the third party audits carried out by the ACRS council and you will appreciate our commitment to ensuring customers are fully satisfied with our products. This gives everyone confidence in our ability to supply the very best quality product in Australia. Long Term Quality Testing (LTQ) is part of the ACRS system, so we can give you, the customer, a track record as proof of our compliance to the Australian Standards.
