OVERVIEW

Best Bar supplied 4800T of reinforcing steel to this project over a 24 month period and 1500T of this was prefabbed in our yard and delivered to site over a 12 month period. We suggested that we could prefabricate some elements of the project for Thiess Degremont which would speed up the build time on the project for them.

They saw the value in this so we prefabricated the walls for the Sea Water Lift pump Station which included mats of N32 at 150 centers, 12000mm long x 4800 wide. These mats weighed 5T each which made logistics a major issue to overcome especially as our yard was 150km away from the site. Because of Best Bars success in this, we were also given the opportunity to supply many other parts of the project we supplied over this 24 month period such as the Electrical pit bases, Lime storage & Saturation building, Launder structure & Balance of plant.

See why Melbourne’s experienced construction companies use our reinforcing steel mesh.
